CIA Frees Over 12m Declassified Documents Over the Internet

CREST (the CIA Records Search Tool) had been installed since 2000 and has kept 25 years worth of program archives.

As easy as just a couple clicks on your computer anyone can now scour through a treasure trove of unbelievable information stored by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

The topics are wide-ranged and cover things such as the famed STARGATE program. There’s information on paranormal phenomena, psychic powers, extrasensory perception (ESP), hypnosis and paranormal psychology. There’s also documents on telepathic experiences during geomagnetic activity.

Furthermore, the records included unidentified flying objects, UFO sightings, the Berlin Tunnel and secret ink.

Though these documents were available for some time, it wasn’t always so easy to get access.

“While much of the information has been technically publicly available since the mid-1990s, it has been very difficult to access,” according to BBC.

“The records were only available on four physical computers located in the back of a library at the National Archives in Maryland, between 09:00 and 16:30 each day.”

The CIA finally announced it would release the entire declassified CREST database last November.
