Ricardo Guzman is a loving, caring man that had a missed connection at a Mexican restaurant in Columbia, MO and posted on Craigslist immediately.

Working at a car dealership as a finance manager, helping people get loans for car purchases, Guzman is an extremely hard-working individual. In addition, he has a small business interest in a Mexican restaurant called, Agave Mexican Restaurant & Bar in mid-Missouri. And, it was at this location where Guzman set sight on a woman that would catapult him into the saying, “love at first sight.”

It was such a strong attraction that he immediately went home and posted his missed connection on Craigslist (after learning about the site from a friend).

He hoped to find her at any cost and even asked another buddy of his, a radio DJ, if he could even possibly say something over the radio waves. He was even willing to sit down with UCKYA and be filmed in hopes to find this beautiful, petite woman wearing a purple winter overcoat at his restaurant.

“This could be the girl I spend the rest of my life with,” Guzman said. “I don’t have a girlfriend and I don’t have a wife. I’d like to have somebody that I can go out dancing with and a nice dinner. I mean, I do everything with my kids. It’s that time.”

Guzman, in his 40s, had been divorced for some time now and he raised his four daughters and son by himself, having sole custody since they were just babies. As a single parent, living in Michigan, he packed up his family’s belongings and moved to Missouri to be closer to his parents who were living in Arkansas. A halfway point.

Now solely focused on his work and family, he hasn’t had much time to dive into the dating world. So when he had such a strong attraction, he knew he had to do something about it.

“It was just crazy cuz I saw this girl at the restaurant and I came to work and I was telling one of my buddies about it. He’s like, you can go on Craigslist and do a Missed Connection and I’m like, what the heck is that,” said Guzman.

Guzman saw an opportunity and went for it or should I say, posted about it. He was also planning to put out an ad in the local newspaper.

Guzman, a Military veteran (in the Air Force out of high school), enjoys riding motorcycles and fishing. He even fishes in tournaments annually.

It is unknown if Guzman will ever find his missed connection, but coming from such a sweet, soft-spoken man, we at UCKYA hope that both he and his missed connection can find a way to reunite sometime in the very near future.

“I thought, son-of-a-bitch, I should’ve said something to her. I should’ve said something to her,” continued Guzman.
