Johnny Manziel went from being the starting quarterback of the Cleveland Browns to navigating a rocky road to selling selfies at Super Bowl LI.
In a strange turn of events, Heisman Trophy winner and former on-top-of-it-all quarterback, “Johnny Football,” will be selling photos and autographs in Houston during Super Bowl week.
“(Johnny Manziel) will appear at two Houston-area malls to interact with fans for a fee on Feb. 2-3 in advance of the Super Bowl,” Mary Kay Cabot said via Cleveland.com. “The Crave Sports Company is billing the appearances, both at Stadium Signature stores, as Manziel’s first two public autograph sessions.
“Manziel will appear at Katy Mills Mall on Feb. 2 and Woodlands Mall on Feb. 3 from 7-8 p.m.”
If you’re looking to get a selfie with the former star be prepared to dish out $50.
However, if quality is of more importance, Johnny Manziel will take a professional photo for $99.
Also, he’ll sign “any item” for $99 and will write up to four words, along with the autograph, for an additional $29.
Sounds like a steal to me!
Johnny Manziel played college football at Texas A&M University and earned the moniker, “Johnny Football.”
As an Aggie, he became the first freshman to win a Heisman Trophy, Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award and Manning Award.
Manziel was a first-round draft pick (22nd overall) by the Cleveland Browns in the 2014 NFL Draft.
Despite all of his achievements, off-field controversies plagued Johnny Manziel’s NFL career.
He was released after the 2015 season.
Super Bowl LI will be held at NRG Stadium, Houston, Texas on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 3:30 PM (EST) aired on FOX.
